During the middle weekend of the trip, we went over to the mainland to the Schoodic Peninsula. Portions of Schoodic are also part of Acadia National Park, but get a lot less traffic due to the location. They say this is the prime spot to see really big, crashing waves during high tide and during storms.

The view here is back to the west, with Mt. Desert Island and its Cadillac Mountain in the distance. The last time we were here, we were completely socked in with fog, so a somewhat clear view was a real treat.
